Overview
The Waterfront Ecology Trail connects spring ponds, wetlands, and heritage bridges with a continuous walking route. The trail encourages low-impact exploration and communicates the ecological value of the Baima Spring system.

Programme elements
- Boardwalks and viewing decks that protect sensitive water edges.
- Interpretive signage on spring hydrology and local biodiversity.
- Morning walking programmes and guided eco-tours.
- Rest areas integrated with tea pavilions and public art.
Experience and operations
Building on Mingshui’s destination narrative, the project extends the visitor journey by linking spaces, programmes, and services into a cohesive experience. The route frames water edges, native planting, and small habitat nodes to make ecology visible to visitors. Wayfinding, pacing, and dwell points are designed so guests can move between discovery, participation, and rest without losing the sense of place.
Community and seasonal impact
Operations emphasize curated partnerships and repeatable programming. Stewardship plans align cleaning, planting, and seasonal closures with visitor flow. Seasonal refreshes, local collaborations, and performance touchpoints keep the offer fresh while supporting long-term brand equity.
